Orsay Geant4 tutorial announcement
         Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that we will again conduct a 5 days Geant4 tutorial in Orsay, supported by The Doctoral School PHENIICS of University Paris-Saclay.
This tutorial aims at bringing the knowledge of mastering the various functionalities of the Geant4 Toolkit to each participant. Participants will learn how
to create their own application by acquiring a thorough knowledge of the Geant4 toolkit. They will be able to choose the functionalities most appropriate for their
needs. They will also be able to follow the evolutions in the toolkit (one release per year) and to find additional information, either in the official documentation or
via the users community.
The tutorial should be of interest both to novices and to those who already have some basic familiarity with Geant4. Participants are expected to have a
reasonable knowledge of C++ and Linux or MAC OS.
The tutorial will be given in English.
The Web page for this tutorial is located at:
https://groups.lal.in2p3.fr/ED-geant4/ The tutorial will take place on May 13th-17th, 2019 at LAL.
The capacity is limited to 40 participants and the participants outside
the doctoral school PHENIICS will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. The registrations for non-PHENIICS participants will be confirmed at mid-April
at latest.
No registration fee will be asked. The travel, accommodation and meals will not be provided and will be entirely at the charge of participants.
Only participants from non-commercial educational or research organizations can apply to this session. The participants from commercial organizations can
apply to the second session proposed by CNRS Formation Entreprises which will take place
     on November 18th - 22nd at LAL.
         With best regards,
         Ivana Hrivnacova,
     Laurent Garnier,
     Marc Verderi
