Hi GAPSers,
On Monday, March 3 at 1:00pm in the MOB Conference Room we will be having an abstract writing workshop. In this interactive session we will discuss ways to meaningfully summarize your work and grab attention based on the audience and context you are preparing it for. Skills practiced in this workshop will be applicable beyond just abstract writing and are great tools to refine to improve your ability to market yourself and your work in all settings. Please bring your laptop. A light lunch will be provided.
About the speaker:
David Gallacher (he/him) is a PhD candidate at McGill University, studying fundamental particle physics through the search for neutrinoless double beta decay with the nEXO experiment. David holds an Honours BSc (2019) and MSc (2021) in physics from Carleton University. An experienced science communicator, he has delivered public lectures, and presented at international conferences. Passionate about building community and professional development in physics, he has organized many workshops for graduate and undergraduate students on research training and career skills.
See you there,
