GAPS Lunch in Auditorium - General Meeting and GAPS Elections

Hi GAPS Community,

This is a reminder of the GAPS all-members meeting and elections taking place on Friday March 13 in the MOB Auditorium (and online) from 12 - 1pm. All GAPS members (all grad students and postdocs at TRIUMF) are encouraged to attend, regardless of if you are running for a position. You can learn more about GAPS, vote on your new representatives, and get a free catered lunch!

As a reminder, in order to be eligible for a Chair position, you must attend 2 GAPS Committee meetings. If you are interested and have not yet attended, you can still self-nominate! If you have never attended a GAPS Committee meeting before, you just need to attend this week’s meeting (Friday @ 3pm in the MOB Conference Room) and then the general meeting the following week to be eligible. All GAPS members are still eligible to vote.

Hi GAPS Community (all grads and postdocs 😊),

GAPS will be having its elections on Friday, March 13 in the MOB Auditorium and Online, from 12 - 1pm. The elections will be paired with a brief GAPS General Meeting and Q&A, where the current committee will update on GAPS initiatives. Free lunch and refreshments will be provided to everyone who signs up.

This is also a great opportunity for new members to get involved either at the committee level, or even by running for an elected position or volunteering for an appointed position. To run for an elected position, GAPS members must have attended at least 2 committee meetings. The GAPS Committee meets every Friday at 3pm in the MOB Conference Room. Regardless of interest in running for a position, all GAPS members are eligible to vote for elected positions. If you think you may be interested in an elected position, please attend our meeting this week for more information! To run for Chair, interested GAPS members must have been part of the GAPS Committee for at least 6 months.
