Hi all
I attach the paper for this week: isomeric ratio measurements performed at HIRFL in China. See you at 3:30 pm in the MOB theory room.
Questions:
1. Why specifically were these iron and cobalt isotopes chosen for this study?
2. Can the technique used here be used to test the assumption that all states with J > Jm feed the isomeric state?
3. Is the decay of the isomer considered as a systematic in the determination of the isomeric ratio?
4. How might the treatment of particle evaporation (ablation) affect the comparison of the experimental isomeric ratios with theory?
5. In general, is the discussion of the theoretical interpretation of the measurement satisfactory?
Cheers
Mike
