Dear members of Materials Science community related to TRIUMF,
In mid-April, Canada Federal Government announced its budget, including that for TRIUMF in 2025-30<https://www.triumf.ca/funding-announcements/unprecedented-3998m-federal-investment-triumf-advances-canadian-science-and>. At TRIUMF Science Week (July 22-26)<https://indico.triumf.ca/event/509/>, we will have a full day (Wednesday) dedicated to discussion of the next TRIUMF 5 Year Plan (2025-2030), including both a session for organised feedback from representative members of the community and a “town-hall” style session for anyone to give feedback and ask questions.
It will be a great support for CMMS if you could participate.
To prepare for this discussion,
1. CMMS has prepared a molecular and materials science community survey. Please give us your thoughts by July 8 (Mon).

1. TUEC is organising a short, remote-only pre-meeting on July 5th from 9:00 to 10:00 am Pacific time where Nigel Smith, TRIUMF director, will present a summary of the 5 year plan constraints and scenarios that will be further elaborated at Science Week. All interested people are welcome to connect, regardless of whether or not you will attend Science Week. Please pass along this information to anyone you think would be interested.
Time: July 5th (Fri), 9:00-10:00 am (Pacific time)
