From iainmckenzie at triumf.ca Wed Aug 27 10:16:40 2025 From: iainmckenzie at triumf.ca (Iain McKenzie) Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2025 17:16:40 +0000 Subject: [Mms-experiment-program] Fall 2025 TRIUMF muon beam schedule posted Message-ID: Dear CMMS users, The fall beam schedule for M9A, M15, and M20 has been published: https://mis.triumf.ca/schedule/view?schedule=148&revision=ACTIVE (You must be on the TRIUMF vpn to see the schedule https://ccn.triumf.ca/off-site/vpn). There were more requests for beam than we are able to accommodate. As a result, we were only able to schedule approved experiments with high priority shifts. M9A will not be available in the later part of the fall beam schedule due to commissioning of M9H. The DR spectrometer, which has run for the whole of the summer beam schedule, will continue on M15 until just before the mini shutdown at the beginning of October when NuTime will be installed. This will be the first time that NuTime has run since 2023. It will not be possible to run experiments on the DR after September. LAMPF will run on M20 for the whole of the fall schedule. There are several weeks that are not scheduled due to proton irradiation (PIF) running on beamline 1B. Important: Please enter your visit on the TRIUMF visitor system (https://mis.triumf.ca/admin/visit/index.jsf - requires TRIUMF vpn) as soon as possible, especially if you are coming from outside Canada. This is because your visit must be reviewed by TRIUMF Research Security before an invitation letter can be produced by TRIUMF HR. The experiments populating the fall betaNMR block, which runs from Wednesday November 12 DAY to Tuesday December 2 OWL, will be announced shortly. Please email me directly at iainmckenzie at triumf.ca if you have questions or comments about the fall beam schedule or have any difficulties with the TRIUMF visitor system.
