Subject: Announcement: Rising Stars Symposia 2021 at U.Chicago
Dear Oliver,

I am writing to inform you about the UChicago Rising Stars Symposia 2021, a platform for exceptional early-career scientists in the broad field of physics to present their work. The symposia are intended to promote early-career development of researchers working in exciting new directions in soft and biological matter, quantum science and technology, and experimental particle physics. Another goal is to increase the diversity of researchers in these fields; we particularly welcome applications for the symposium from researchers who come from under-represented groups. Those selected to participate in the symposia will receive an honorarium.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could encourage graduate students and postdocs in your department to apply for these Symposia.

Dates:

  * Rising Stars in Experimental Particle Physics: September 22-23, 2021
  * Rising Stars in Soft and Biological Matter: September 23-24, 2021
  * Quantum Creators Prize Symposium: September 29-30, 2021
Application

  *   Deadline for application: August 15, 2021
  * Website for application information: https://physics.uchicago.edu/events/rising-stars-symposia/<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fphysics.uchicago.edu%2Fevents%2Frising-stars-symposia%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cstelzer-chilton%40triumf.ca%7Cdbb0291246f84ee5aa6408d93989e7ce%7Cc20535109cb34679a2d38f442e03b587%7C1%7C0%7C637604087302391808%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=Rue7fqEMpRYJqOhx%2BE4Y4ChwUVcjXJCnWplD4R7iLCU%3D&reserved=0>
