Who is up for a Particle Physics team? So far we have Matthias, myself and maybe Max.
We need another 4 or so players who have registered for Science Week. Anyone?

Let me know in the next day… and remember its mostly about having fun…
And think of a good team name 😉

Dear TRIUMF Science Week participants,



put on your favourite jersey, tie your shoe laces, and start with the high altitude training - we will have a soccer (aka. football in Europe) competition during Science Week!



When? Wednesday, July 20, ~6:00 -9:00pm (after the Let's Talk Science Event)

Where? Noble Softball Diamond Park (next to TRIUMF)

Why? Well, because we want to see if scientist can "Bend It Like Beckham"

Who? Registered TRIUMF Science Week participants and TRIUMF members

What? Soccer/ football 5 vs. 5 mixed teams



These games will be on a recreational level- but there will be a prize for the team that can call themselves "First TRIUMF Science Week Soccer Cup Winner" for the next ~365 days!



Beware: Absolutely NO soccer cleats and doping with Red Bull or alcohol. Cheerleaders and mascots allowed. Fouls strongly discouraged, fairness wins!

The teams can consist of up to 8 players, you are free to choose your team members but please consider our TRIUMF EDI principles!



For players who do not have a team there will be a "Lost Souls" team, or they will be distributed to teams with less players.
