[Particle-physics-affiliated] Farewell Party for Beatrice on Wed August 30th 3:30pm at Jericho Beach

HI all,

Further to Oliver’s email, if you would like to sign a farewell card for Beatrice and or contribute to her gift, please come over to my office. I reside in ISAC-I, ground level, right below the RPG group, office with “a brain” in it (super easy to spot). The somewhat unusual “card" is on my desk. Feel free to use different colours of sharpies to sign it.

We are collecting money in form of cash and/or eTransfer (to mstachura at triumf.ca<mailto:mstachura at triumf.ca>). If a security question is required, use “TRIUMF’ as the answer. We will get a gift card to PB - Beatrice’s fave snowboarding shop in town. We will collect contributions (and autographs) until Wednesday, Aug 30th, noon, sharp! :-)

We are saddened by the news of her departure and Beatrice will leave big shoes to fill at TRIUMF. Having said that, we would like to celebrate her time with us and send her off on a high note as she moves on to new endeavors.

When: Wednesday August 30th starting at 3:30pm
Where: Jericho Beach (in the grassy area, see star on the map below)

We will have Pizza and desserts and soft drinks. Feel free to bring any side dishes (salads etc) that you’d like to share and in particular “your favorite drink of any sort”... and a lawn chair if you’d like.
