Good morning all,

Prof. Svetlana Barkanova<https://www.linkedin.com/in/svetlana-barkanova/?originalSubdomain=ca>, NSERC Chair for Inclusion in Science and Engineering (Atlantic region) will be visiting TRIUMF April 15th - 18th, 2024. By training, she is a researcher in subatomic physics theory, and Prof. Of Physics at the Memorial University of Newfoundland.

During her visit, she will be talking mainly about topics related to Inclusion in Science and Engineering, and seeking opportunities to work with TRIUMF's community to change the face of STEM. She is committed to connecting with underrepresented groups and engaging them in the world of science, and her team has received over $300,000 per year to do the work.

TRIUMF is one of the main institutions Svetlana had partnered with, and we are looking forward to hosting her here next week.
