[Particle-physics-affiliated] ACOT spring meeting April 28-30: preparation session Thursday 12:30 in the ISAC II Conference room

Dear Colleagues,

We will meet this Thursday at the usual 12:30 time to go over the ACOT slides. I put the agenda with presenters on the indico page.

After the meeting, hopefully Andrea can make a single slide deck out of it again.


  *   Specific questions to be addressed by each group:
     *   Generally it will not be necessary for the report to explain the scientific value or motivation for particular research activities as their contribution to the experiments, and the value of each experiment, are known to me.
     *   1) I would appreciate to understand what TRIUMF facilities are being used for the current research, and any restrictions that the experimenters encounter due to limits on facilities.  Please could you also mention links with other institutions in terms of personnel and facilities or equipment that are directly relevant to the TRIUMF program.
     *   2) Please mention the size of the group including the number of people at each level of seniority.  Please indicate the degree to which this may have varied over the past, say, 5 years, and what are the expectations on the number of persons at each level during the coming, say, 10 years.
  *   Please give preference to give a high-level overview of the full scope of activities keeping 1) in mind and answering her specific questions 2) and 3). You can put additional slides (e.g. from the last ACOT into backup).

Dear Colleagues,

The ACOT spring meeting will take place April 28-30. The only agenda items I am aware so far are:
April 28 9:00 - 10:15  Overviews PSD -  Ritu  (15 mins)
April 28 14:30 - 16:00 Parallel Sessions

We have a joint parallel session with SciTech and SciComp (as before). We have reached out to Sally Seidel if she has any requests for the agenda.
We can discuss more at our Particle Physics meeting next week what we want to focus on. Slides are due by April 15th.
