If you haven’t heard already, Emergency Management BC will conduct a test of the Alert Ready system today at 1:55 pm. Details in the link below.

During the test, the public will hear an alert tone and a message if they are near a radio or TV. If your mobile device is configured to receive a vibration or other alert, rather than a tone, you will receive the test warning that way. The last time they did this test, I found the noise from my phone to be extremely loud and jarring. I wanted to give you all advance notice in case you are doing any sensitive work or holding a meeting that may be disrupted by this test.
