Hi all,

Networking Event for students featuring a poster session, panel discussion and scavenger hunt!

TRIUMF will be holding its annual Science Week during the week of August 16 - 20, with this edition planned as a fully virtual event. This year's event will also host a Networking Event for undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, featuring a poster session and one hour panel discussion which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 17, 12:30 - 14:30pm PST.

A panel discussion "Roadmap to careers in research and academia", where you will get a chance to hear from and interact with world-leading scientists who are very successful in their careers. With this event we hope to provide you with insights on how to navigate through graduate school and early stages of the academic and research careers to get the most out of it. You will have a chance to learn which opportunities to take advantage of, and how to develop a verity of transferable skills and career competencies including building meaningful connections, planning and driving career, and building and managing a professional network.

In parallel to the Networking Event, we will also host a "Scavenger Hunt" game during the first two days of the Science Week. There will be 10 QR codes hidden at different talks, posters and at the networking event. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
