Subject: Canadian Subatomic Physics Long Range Plan - Community consultation
Dear TRIUMF Graduate and Postdoc Society,
The Canadian Subatomic Physics Long Range Plan Committee (https://subatomicphysics.ca/<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsubatomicphysics.ca%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cgaps%40triumf.ca%7Caf83a403a7d6474a1f1808d8cc9984cd%7Cc20535109cb34679a2d38f442e03b587%7C1%7C0%7C637484307432777724%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000&sdata=tWwHws03r%2FqjJUme%2FEK3o2W68hAc3bur7znquQ1DURU%3D&reserved=0>) is seeking input from current and former graduate students, postdocs and research associates, who have received some or all of their subatomic physics training in Canada, including those now working outside the field. One of the goals of the planning process is to develop recommendations to support subatomic physics education, careers and training.
We would be grateful if you could circulate this message through your mailing list, to advertise the upcoming consultation activity:
Virtual Townhall Meeting: Subatomic Physics Education and Careers
* Agenda: https://meetings.triumf.ca/indico/event/204/overview
* Date: Tues Feb 16, 9am-11am PST (12pm-2pm EST)
* Target audience: Current or former graduate students, postdocs and research associates, who have received some or all of their training in Canada, including those now working outside the field.
* Format: A moderated discussion session focussing on Graduate Education, Training and Careers.
We are also seeking feedback on education and training topics prior to the Townhall, via the following short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.ca/r/STHSK3D<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.surveymonkey.ca%2Fr%2FSTHSK3D&data=04%7C01%7Cgaps%40triumf.ca%7Caf83a403a7d6474a1f1808d8cc9984cd%7Cc20535109cb34679a2d38f442e03b587%7C1%7C0%7C637484307432787717%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000&sdata=fBOKnKflus%2FRZLuPq5ciusEK%2Fw56M2s9qoLTcO8a210%3D&reserved=0>.
Registration for the Townhall is not required, and connection details will be posted on the above Indico page early next week.
Thank you to everyone for your engagement in this process.
