Hi all,
Volunteers are still needed to help out with some Science Week tasks. There will be an appreciation dinner offered to all volunteers as a “thank you” for helping out!

Hi everyone,
TRIUMF Science Week is about a month away, and the organizing committee is once again asking for volunteers to help with some of the support during Science Week. There are three main tasks that need volunteers:
1. Tech support during sessions.
2. Retrieving coffee for each break between sessions.
3. Set up, take down, and transport of tents, tables, and other items for the activities throughout the week.

Please volunteer to help out if you can, as this is a good opportunity to show our support to for TRIUMF! As an added bonus, as in past years, there will be an appreciation dinner or similar for all of the volunteers at the end of Science Week to say “thank you” for helping out!

1. Technical support for the sessions. It's going to be a hybrid meeting, and we will need 2 people for technical support for each session, as we may have additional rooms ready for in-person participants if the auditorium is at capacity. There will be a training session before science week so everyone helping is familiar with the setup and knows how to resolve issues if/when they arise. Time and date will be communicated later.
2. We will need at least one volunteer for each coffee break, as coffee will be prepared in the TRIUMF cafeteria.
3. Additionally, we will need help to pick up and set up tents (borrowed from UBC farm) & tables outside of TRIUMF. These tents will also need to come down again for the BBQ, which will be on Thursday, where they will be set up (again!) at a location near UBC farm. And, of course, nets for the volleyball tournament need to be set up as well.
