Hi postdocs!

For you non-Canadians working here at TRIUMF, we’re sure you know all about the hassle of getting a work permit approved so that you can come to Canada and work at TRIUMF. This has been an ongoing issue for years that GAPS has continued to bring to the attention of management. With ACOT approaching at the end of the month, we once again wanted to ask for recent experiences in applying for or renewing a work permit so that we can get a clearer picture of this issue at TRIUMF and how it has changed recently.

So, for any of you that have recently applied either for a new or renewed work permit, we would love to hear about your experience! We are most interested in your interactions with TRIUMF’s HR department for obtaining the necessary documentation, but any information you have to share would be beneficial to hear. We will (as best we can) keep your information anonymous when discussing the issues with TRIUMF management.
