Hi GAPS,

We all know that asking questions in front of all the big-time scientists at colloquium can be scary, so we are setting up a GAPS-specific Q&A session with the speaker this week! Unfortunately, the time right after the colloquium was booked, but we have a slot at 2-3pm on FRIDAY. This will be a great opportunity to ask all your questions or simply chat with the speaker about the cool physics they do! A reminder of said cool physics is below 🙂

Vincenzo Cirigliano
University of Washington

Searches for rare processes at low energy provide unique opportunities to uncover physics beyond the Standard Model. In this talk I will provide a theoretical perspective on neutrinoless double beta decay as a probe of lepton number non-conservation and its implications for the origin of neutrino mass and the Majorana nature of neutrinos. I will discuss the theoretical progress and challenges associated with the interpretation of experimental searches.

If you are interested, please respond to this email so we can get an idea of the numbers for room booking!
