Subject: Cyclotron Vault Tours!

Hi GAPS members!

Ever wondered what TRIUMF’s main cyclotron actually looks like? Well, you’re in luck! We have arranged for the beamlines group to give us a couple tours of the main cyclotron vault (and possibly remote handling building). We have two tours scheduled: 8am-10am Wednesday, March 15th, and 1pm-3pm Wednesday, March 22nd. You can sign up to join one of the tours below.

Please note a couple of important points for the tours:

  *   There is a limit of 15 people per tour, so sign up early!
  *   Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required on the tours.
  *   Cameras and phones for taking pictures are allowed, but they will need to be checked for contamination at the end of the tour. (normally not a problem though!)
  *   Climbing of stairs is required on the tour.

More info will come closer to your tour time. If you can’t make either tour time, or if the tours fill up before you have a chance to sign up, please add your name to the third list on the spreadsheet so that we can contact you if we are able to add a third tour!
