Subject: Science Discussion Hour 11 AM tomorrow @ MOB auditorium! (with SNACKS!)

Hi GAPSers!

Happy almost third Friday of the week! You know what that means (drumrolls) - another biweekly Science Discussion Hour! Our speakers tomorrow are:

  * Mallory Loria: journal-club style presentation on "The messy death of a multiple star system and the resulting planetary nebula as observed by JWST"
     * Reading: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2301.02775.pdf, abstract (page 1) and discussion (pages 10-12)
  * Guy Leckenby: "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? 7 examples of fine tuning for life to exist"
     *   No reading required!

Zoom link: https://ubc.zoom.us/j/69201228262?pwd=aE5lam1uR3pzbm9rSHNHRWRyc3dLZz09

Snacks will be provided! Let's talk some science and make some friends! (Sorry, still working on my slogan-making skills)

If you would like to sign up to speak at a future session, please email us at gaps at triumf.ca and let us know! Reminder that we welcome a wide range of talks, including journal club styled presentation and discussions based on an interesting paper, a science talk on your research or any cool science-related topics, facilitated round table discussions on EDI and science, etc. The sky is the limit!

Chatty regards, 😉

-Your GAPS
