Don’t forget that we are hosting a negotiation skills workshop today at 1:00pm in the auditorium. Please bring your computer. See below for a message from our speaker, Chris Ryan, about what topics we will be discussing.

Negotiation skills workshop outline:

  *   Discuss how ‘value’ might be defined in the future of work, and at what level of impact those skills and that knowledge will have in negotiations.
  *   Utilize the language of competencies to build bridges between academic and industry experience.
  *   Evaluate negotiation resources to clarify the process you feel comfortable with.
  *   Research and discuss posted positions to explore the possibilities of monetary and non-monetary compensation that could be negotiated.
  *   Explore tools, like a Decision Matrix, to better evaluate personal preferences.
