Volunteers needed to help with CUPC tours

Hello GAPS,

The Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference is being held at UBC from October 24th-27th, and as part of their program they are planning tours of TRIUMF on October 25th. Due to the large number of students, we are looking for volunteers to help with guiding CUPC students between tour stops staffed by current TRIUMF co-op students.

The plan is for the co-op students to give a brief talk about their experience at TRIUMF so far, and you would then give a brief summary of the tour stop. Guidance will be provided ahead of time about the tour stops and what to say, but feel free to also put your own spin on things :)

Volunteers will be compensated at a rate of $50 an hour.

We are looking to fill 6 two-hour time slots, so need a maximum if 6 volunteers (less if people are willing to do both time slots). Times are:

3 people for October 25th 10 AM-12PM
3 people for October 25th 1PM-3PM

Please note that due to TRIUMF policy, if you are classified as a visitor you will not be able to guide people behind the fence and so, unfortunately, will not be able to help out with this.
