Volunteers Needed: UCN BAE Interview Committee

Hi GAPS community,

TRIUMF will be hiring a new BAE (Board Appointed Employee, roughly TRIUMF's equivalent of a research professor) to work on the UCN (Ultra-Cold Neutron) project. The hiring process is at the long-form interview stage with 5 candidates making it this far. TRIUMF has requested that GAPS be involved in the process to provide feedback on each candidate. TRIUMF is looking for 4 - 5 GAPS volunteers to help with the selection. The time commitment will be 5 30-minute interviews - 1 with each of the 5 candidates. The interviews will take place across early to mid November. Volunteers will be compensated with an appreciation lunch. If you are interested, please reply to let us know! This is a cool opportunity to get behind-the-scenes access to the BAE interview process while directly influencing who TRIUMF hires for the position.
