Subject: Life Sciences Division Announcements: Student Poster Competition for LSPEC 2025
Dear Colleagues,

In conjunction with our annual Life Sciences Projects Evaluation Committee (LSPEC) Meeting, we will be holding a Student Poster Competition open to any current or recently graduated students as well as post-docs. If you are a student or post-doc who uses TRIUMF resources for projects/research related to Life Sciences, we strongly encourage you to participate. This is an opportunity to meet with our international LSPEC members<https://triumf.ca/experimenter-portal/planning-experiments/#LSPEC> who will review each poster and vote on a winner. (Prize to be determined.)

Posters can be new or recycled from recent symposia, but there should be a focus on results enabled by the resources provided by TRIUMF for projects/research related to Life Sciences.

A copy of the agenda for the LSPEC meeting will be circulated in the coming weeks. But for now, please note that the Poster Competition will take place in the afternoon of Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, in TRIUMF’s Auditorium.

HOW TO RSVP:
Interested students and post-docs must RSVP to lifesciences at triumf.ca<mailto:lifesciences at triumf.ca> by Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

You must include the following information in your RSVP:

  *   Poster title
  * Presenting student’s name and degree program (For example: Jane Doe, MSc – Chemistry)
  * Supervisor’s name (May include both your TRIUMF supervisor and University Program’s supervisor)
  * Affiliation (For example: Life Sciences Division, TRIUMF and Department of Chemistry, Simon Fraser University)
Please feel free to pass this message along to your students, post-docs, classmates, or anyone else that may be interested in this poster competition.

All the best,
Gloria Botelho
