There is an interesting opportunity to join the Advisory Committee for the Canadian Nuclear Society. Eleanor Dunling (Research Officer, Life Sciences Division) is on the committee and is looking to recruit a younger representative - specifically a GAPS member! Please see what she wrote below. "I’m on an advisory committee for the Canadian Nuclear Society and we’ve started a working group to create an educational package for the general public (covering things like fission vs fusion, radioisotope production, applications, etc.) to help make 'nuclear' feel less scary through better understanding.

Since most of the committee are a bit older we thought it would be great if we could bring on a Gen Z advisor to help guide the format and media style so it’s engaging and easy to consume. The role would be more about how we present the content rather than being an expert in nuclear physics. The role could grow too if someone wants to get more involved!”
