In 2026, TRIUMF is very likely to have an extended shutdown of the main accelerator lasting 16 months in order to complete ARIEL. This will have a significant impact on many communities at TRIUMF that depend on the main accelerator to complete their research
goals, GAPS included.</div>

GAPS has been invited to give a presentation during the 5-year-plan day of Science Week on the impact of this extended shutdown on the GAPS community. In order to better inform ourselves of all GAPS members, the GAPS Committee conducted a brainstorming session
on Friday to gain qualitative data, and is now following up this session with a survey to gain quantitative data.</div>
