Good morning everyone,

The purpose of my journal club presentaion is to advertise a
number of papers, including nucl-th/9706029 by G. P. Lepage,
which give a good introductory discussion to the the physics
of renormalization, renormalization group and effective field
theory. I will make some brief remarks about how understanding
of renormalization has evolved and how this has led to the 
concept of effective field theory.
