CentOS have released kernel-2.6.18-53.1.14.el5.bz321111 which fixes the
nfs problem referenced in RedHat bugzilla-321111. I have put the kernel
and associated module rpms in http://mirror.triumf.ca/centos/kernel/5.

If you installed SL-5 from the TRIUMF kickstart, then the nightly update
will update triumf-yumconf. This contains a new version of
"/etc/yum.repos.d/centos.repo" that includes the definition of a new
[centos-kernel] repository. Once that is in place, "yum update" will get
the fixed kernels from CentOS.

More info on the CentOS repositories addded by the TRIUMF rpms:

/etc/yum.repos.d/centos.repo is added by the TRIUMF rpms for easy access
to packages in CentOS-Extras and CentOS-Plus.
http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories

CentOS-Extras is enabled by default since it does not conflict with the
base distribution and contains packages that some might find useful;
e.g. freenx, yumex and, the xfs kernel-module and tools.

CentOS-Plus contains newer versions of certain base packages. Thus it
is not enabled by default and should be used with caution. However, it
is occasionally useful if you need something like an updated version of
apache or postgres for SL-4. In those cases, you should append a line
like "includepkgs=postgres*" to the definition of the repository to
ensure that only the packages you need are included.

Summaries of the packages are available in repoview format for each
relaease and architecture. For example, centos-extras for SL-5 x86_64
see: http://mirror.triumf.ca/centos/5/extras/x86_64/repodata/

A web page explaining the new TRIUMF kickstarts and the TRIUMF rpm
repository is coming soon. Watch this space.
