I run FC9, too, and selinux bit the dust because it prevented
all system daemons from accessing my home directory. login would
not login, cron jobs would not run, sendmail would not write
incoming mail into my mailbox and read my .forward file, etc.

The documentation mumbles something about "adding correct selinux
labels to files in my home partitions", but obviously I cannot
be expected to read the docs, *and* understand them, *and* do
something to fix the problem. (wash, rinse, repeat with
the next problem).

On the bright side, in "permissive" mode, the selinux desktop
widget works great as a "you got mail!" notifier.
