[Triumf-linux-managers] Default output device for gs

I noticed that gs does not display anything on various
SL platforms (4.x, 5.x).  This in turn may cause gv to
fail (hangs forever) on e.g. TRCOMP01 and 02.

This is contrary to previous behaviour where gs would always
produce output to the screen (X display) by default.
It is a matter of how the gs executable is built.

The workaround is  setenv GS_DEVICE x11

or  gs -sDEVICE=x11 ...
and gv -arguments=-sDEVICE=x11 ...

Since this occurs in several SL distributions I assume
it is deliberate, but don't know the reason.
