The array was recovered successfully by Konstantin Olchanski. We are 
extremely grateful for the extra effort he went to, especially over the 
weekend.

Amanda has been performing backups since the beginning of the week and 
the status is available as usual on http://amanda.triumf.ca/~amanda . 
It hasn't yet completely reverted to the normal daily updated schedule 
as Konstantin has been running a full tape-archive.  It is doing backups 
every two days but will revert to daily before next Monday

We are continuing to do some clean-up and migration of some clients to 
an alternate backup system.  This will ensure that the current amanda 
system has the capacity for a retention time of four weeks or more.
