[Triumf-running] 2025 TRIUMF Sun Run Team

Hi Everyone,

Ben and I (well, mostly Ben) have set up a 
corporate team for this year's Sun Run. As in past 
years, the social club has offered a $15 subsidy 
per entry up to the first 30 registrations. We 
will send out a site-wide invitation for this in 
the next few days, but before doing so we wanted 
to test it out on you to check for typos or things 
to change. If there are, please get back to me 
before about noon tomorrow.

Otherwise, we hope to see you out at the race. 
We'll also try to set up some lunch training 
sessions before that.

Dear TRIUMF Community,

The TRIUMF Running and Walking Club invites you to 
join us in the 2025 edition of the Vancouver Sun 
Run on Sunday, April 27, 9:00am. This event is a 
10 km run and walk that starts in downtown, loops 
around English Bay, passes over the Burrard 
bridge, continues along south of False Creek, and 
finishes by BC Place. In past years the event has 
attracted nearly 50,000 participants. More details

We invite *all* TRIUMF staff and students who 
might be interested to join the TRIUMF corporate 
team we are setting up. This is a great event, and 
it's even more fun participating in the challenge 
with others. Note that there are running, walking, 
wheelchair, and strollering categories, as well as 
a virtual option.

The TRIUMF Social Club has generously agreed to 
contribute $15 per person to the event cost for 
team members. Note that subsidy only applies to 
the first 30 team registrations and you must have 
an official TRIUMF affiliation to be eligible. 
(TRIUMF friends and family can also join the team 
but are not eligible for the subsidy.)

If you register by February 9, your cost will be 
about $51 (including all taxes and and processing 
fees). Prices go up by $10 after that and the 
deadline to join our team is March 7.

To start the registration process, contact David 
Morrissey via email at dmorri at triumf.ca. Please 
use your @triumf.ca email to verify your 
affiliation and avoid messages being sorted as 
junk mail. Instructions to register online will be 
provided.
