Title: New Results from the Salt Phase of SNO

Abstract: The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) has recently completed analysis of data from the salt phase of the experiment, in which NaCl was added to the heavy-water neutrino target to enhance sensitivity to solar neutrinos[arXiv:nucl-ex/0502021]. Salt phase results will be described, including measurements of the flux and flavor composition of 8B neutrinos from the sun. Some neutrino oscillation models predict distortions in the solar neutrino energy spectrum, or even variations in the flavor composition of solar neutrinos that pass through the earth before reaching a detector. Analysis of energy spectra and day-night asymmetries in the salt phase will be discussed, as well as some of the implications of the salt phase results for neutrino oscillation models.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
