Title: New Directions in Nuclear (astro)Physics
Abstract: The most fundamental question in nature is where do we come from, or, put another way, what are we made of? In the heart of this question there is the process of nucleosynthesis. I will discuss the challenges in obtaining the nuclear physics input for the Big Bang and stellar evolution. Then I will show how a new generation of experiments and theoretical developments can shed light on the complex nuclear processes that control the evolution of stars and stellar explosions.
Theory Research Scientist Candidate
Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
