Title: Progress in Direct Reactions with Exotic Beams

Abstract: Direct reactions are often the best tool to extract relevant structure or astrophysical information. As reactions and structure are not separable, it is essential to have a reliable reaction theory. Radioactive beam experiments present new grounds for reactions theorists. Over the last decade, many of the standard concepts in reaction theory have been revised and new methods have been developed to handle specific features, such as the proximity of the nuclear system to threshold or few body dynamics. In this talk, the state-of-the-art calculations for breakup of exotic nuclei will be detailed, and the connection to structure and astrophysics will be discussed.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
