Title: Two Examples of What We Can Learn From PET Imaging of Drug Transport
Abstract: Positron Emission Tomography can be used to probe many physiological systems, including drug and biochemical transporters. Two transport systems will be discussed in this presentation. The norepinephrine transporter and sympathetic nervous system may provide sensitive information about cardiac disease beyond flow and perfusion. The P-glycoprotein transporter may provide information that can be used to improve therapy and decrease multi-drug resistance.
Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
