Title: Constraints on New Physics from Various Neutrino Experiments
Abstract: Future neutrino oscillation and scattering experiments are expected to yield high statistics making them sensitive to new physics beyond the Standard Model. However, many classes of new physics that can be probed by these experiments can also be constrained by precision measurements of charged current lepton universality. I will compare the expected bounds on new physics from NuSOnG, a fixed-target high-statistics neutrino scattering experiment being proposed at Fermilab, with those expected from PIENU, PEN, and Babar. For certain classes of models, PIENU/PEN/Babar places bounds that will be very difficult for NuSOnG to beat. For other models, the measurements will be complimentary, yielding much stronger bounds when combined than with either set alone.
Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
