Title:     Highlights of the Technology and Instrumentation in Particle Physics conference

Abstract: TIPP09 was held at Tsukuba, Japan from March 11th to 17th. It is the first conference dedicated to detectors for particle physics. http://tipp09.kek.jp/ I will review what was shown at the conference with a focus on the future of particle physics detectors.
