Title: In-Source Spectroscopy and Trace-Analysis on Actinde Elements - Applications of Resonance Ionization Mass Spectrometry
Abstract: Mr. Sebastian Raeder is about to obtain his Ph.D. from Mainz University where his work concentrated on resonance ionization mass spectrometry of the actinide elements. Research for his M.Sc. was on isotope selective trace analysis of uranium.
Today's presentation will give an overview of resonance ionization mass spectrometry a applied to laser ion sources, trace analysis, as well as the laser spectroscopy of actinide elements.
He is currently visiting the TRILIS group and participating in the UO target yield measurements.
