Title: Status of the T2K Experiment

Abstract: The Tokai-to-Kamioka (T2K) long-baseline neutrino-oscillation experiment will make precision measurements of the neutrino oscillation parameters using an intense neutrino beam produced at the J-PARC accelerator in Japan. A new neutrino detector complex at JPARC will measure the unoscillated neutrino spectrum 280 m from the production site; the oscillated neutrino spectrum will be measured 295 km away at the upgraded Super Kamiokande detector. T2K data taking began in December 2009 and the first phase will continue through June 2010. This presentation will provide an overview of T2K and discuss the current status of the experiment.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
