Title: Unravelling the Nature of Dark Matter
Abstract: I will explore the possibility that the dark matter is a weakly interacting massive particle. Putting together what (little) we know about its particle physics nature gives clues as to how we may be able to observe it more directly, measuring its non-gravitational interactions. The coming decade will see the most sensitive experiments to date, with good prospects for determining the nature of dark matter. I will discuss some of these prospects, with some emphasis on the role that the Large Hadron Collider can play.
