Title: From Decay To Life, Radiochemistry for Molecular Imaging

Abstract: How the radiochemistry with PET and SPECT radionuclides can be used to address various biological questions? New linear and convergent radiosynthesis approaches are presented and provide access to challenging radiolabeled molecules and molecular imaging probes. The fluorous solid-phase extraction technology is an extractive method for obtaining small labeled synthons that can be further used for conjugation: 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition and Staudinger ligation. While the multicomponent reactions can be implemented to access radiolabeled molecules that would be difficult to access by a direct or linear approach. Newly accessed molecular imaging probes are then evaluated to provide molecular information such as the hypoxia level, angiogenesis, apoptosis, or neuroreceptor densities.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
