Title: A new concept of spherical TPC for low energy and rare event detection

Abstract: Spherical proportional counters are particle detectors characterized by an excellent resolution, very low energy threshold, simplicity, flexibility of operation with various gas and pressures. They can be used for many applications, ranging from -astro- particle physics processes searches like dark matter, double beta decay or Supernova neutrinos to radiation monitoring -gamma neutrons-. I will describe in more details the NEWS-SNO project for light dark matter particle search.

Please bring your own lunch.
