Title: Hunting for new physics with taus at ATLAS

Abstract: CERN's Large Hadron Collider has delivered enough high energy data to enable discovery and exploration by the LHC experiments. The few thousand members of the ATLAS Collaboration have used this data to discover and make measurements of standard model particles and to search for physics beyond the standard model. In this talk I will share the successes and challenges of physics at the LHC from the perspective of using one particle, the tau lepton, as a probe for new physics.

Refreshments to appear 15 minutes before the talk.
