DRAGON: Almost a Strike

Look up into the night sky and almost every type of star that you see has in common that the "simplest" nuclear fusion reactions, those of radiative capture on hydrogen or helium are ubiquitous and play an important role in the stars' life cycles and nucleosynthesis. DRAGON was built to recreate these reactions in the lab, and has over a decade and a half measured 7 out of 9 ever radioactive beam measurements of radiative capture. By the end of this year we may have completed the 8th & 9th, leaving number 10 in tantalizing reach! In the interests of keeping this light I'll show some cool astronomy & astrophysics pictures before trying to tie it all together to the measurements DRAGON has made over the years.
