Title:     The Superconducting RF Deflecting Cavity for the ARIEL e-Linac Separator

Abstract: TRIUMF recently fabricated its first superconducting RF cavity in the TRIUMF machine shop. The deflecting mode cavity will operate as a three way beam separator, allowing for simultaneous beam delivery to both ARIEL and a recirculation ring operating as an Energy Recovery Linac. The design of the cavity and the new techniques developed for its fabrication will be presented, along with the cavity’s performance measured in cryogenic tests. The cavity has exceeded the goal quality factor and field level required for the ARIEL e-Linac, allowing for flexibility of the design of a future ARIEL e-Linac separator complex.
