Title:     Magnetic Shielding Studies for Electric Dipole Moment and Other Experiments

Abstract: Passive magnetic shields are not entirely passive: the fields inside can keep changing long after the fields outside have changed. The talk will cover: how a ferromagnetic shield works, what "mumetal" shields are made of, shielding factors and shield geometry, magnetizing a shield in the Earth's magnetic field, and our measurements of large changes inside a shielded volume over 10 - 10,000 minutes after a change in external magnetic field.
