Title: Soft-Collinear Supersymmetry

Abstract: Soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) is a powerful framework for modeling the low energy structure of theories whose long distance behavior is dominated by infrared divergences (for instance, QCD). I will demonstrate that SCET can be made compatible with Supersymmetry, thereby opening up a variety of new avenues for exploration. In this talk, I will focus on the simplest examples of chiral matter and gauge theories, which I will show are most compactly describe in "collinear superspace" -- an on-shell slice of the usual N = 1 superspace. I will demonstrate how Lagrangian operators in collinear superspace may be constructed from the "bottom up" i.e. by enforcing a set of effective field theory rules. This construction requires the introduction of several novel ingredients that may have many interesting applications.
