Title: WIMP dark matter and strong CP problem in a parity symmetric model

Abstract: I propose an extended Standard Model (SM), motivated by the strong CP problem and dark matter (DM). In the model, parity symmetry is conserved at high energy by introducing a mirror sector with the extra gauge symmetry, SU(2)R x U(1)R. The charges of SU(2)R x U(1)R are assigned to the mirror fields in the same way as in the SM, but the chirality of the mirror fermions is opposite to respect the parity symmetry. The strong CP problem is resolved since the mirror quarks are also charged under the SU(3)c in the SM. In the minimal setup, however, the mirror gauge symmetry leads stable colored particles, resulting in difficulties in cosmology and conflicts with terrestrial experiments. In this talk, I will present an extended setup in which two scalars are introduced into the minimal model in order to avoid the stable colored particle. Interestingly, one of the scalars can be stable because of a remnant symmetry in the mirror sector, and thus can be a good DM candidate. I especially discuss phenomenologies relevant to the DM candidate.
