Date/Time: Mon Nov 04 2024 at 10:00<br/><br/>Location: Remote<br/><br/>Speaker: Efrain Segarra (PSI Villigen)<br/><br/>Title: Asking the neutron electric dipole moment: where did all the anti-matter go?<br/><br/>Abstract: Around the world, many collaborations are aiming to probe the neutron electric dipole moment (EDM) by an order of magnitude better sensitivity as compared to current limits. This increased sensitivity on the neutron EDM, down to 1E-27 e.cm., will provide stringent constraints on time-reversal violating processes and deeply probe physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM), furthering our understanding on the origins of the baryon asymmetry of the universe. In other words, asking: where did all the anti-matter go?
