Date/Time: Thu Mar 20 2025 at 14:00<br/><br/>Location: Auditorium<br/><br/>Speaker: Nhan Tran (Fermilab)<br/><br/>Title: From analog to automation to assistants: experiments, AI, and you<br/><br/>Abstract: Artificial intelligence is already transforming the way we do science and has the potential to do significantly more,  enhancing the capabilities of our detectors and facilities.  I will talk about an envisioned path to autonomous experimentation with the potential to improve efficiency and accelerate discoveries.  From novel sensing to optimal control to information synthesis, I will give examples of tools and methods that could underpin the next generation of scientific experiments.
